Adverteyes are a band from Guelph, Ontario who write hazy pop songs, often soaked in distortion but never enough to mask their knack for infectious pop melodies. Their latest album is called Myopia and it finds Adverteyes at a refined point in their progression together. They still seem fond of layering many different sounds and voices, occasionally building towards one direction before suddenly taking a left turn. But, whether it's the production choices or a conscious emphasis on dynamics, there's a greater clarity to their sound, which cuts through in arresting ways.
