Good morning listeners! Jay Ferguson of the finally mastered Sloan recording group here with you on this chilly Tuesday.
Do I even have to say it?? For the uninitiated, Tuesday = New Release Day! On the program I’ll be playing newly minted music from one coast to the other. Representing the Maritimes we have the debut album from Carmen Townsend and some chilly New Brunswick epics from The Olympic Symphonium. Waving the flag for Ontario we have ex-Dead Letter Dept gentleman Rob Moir and an expanded re-release from Toronto’s The Wilderness Of Manitoba. Holding down the western frontier, last but most certainly not least, I’m looking forward to playing slick saxaphone infused sounds from the latest LP Kaputt by Destroyer.
Yesterday on the blog, we were all discussing unexpected celebrity sightings. Keeping on that same tip for today, and seeing as we're in the midst of Sundance and Oscar season….can you imagine a film ever being made about the goings on behind the scenes at CBC Radio 3??
If so, my question is:
What actors/celebrities do you think would be best suited to portray the various on-air personalities in a CBC Radio 3 Movie spectacular? Who’s gonna be the best Grant Lawrence, Vish Khanna, Craig Norris, Lana Gay, Pedro Mendes, Lisa Christiansen, Tariq Hussain, Dave Shumka and me, Jay Ferguson…???
Oh. I almost forgot. Who’s gonna direct this thing?
And does if have to be in 3D?
