We all love working here at CBC3, but you know what we love more? Not working. As in taking time off to keep our brains nice and fresh. And who do we have to thank for that? Why, the people who said "hey, you know what would be nice? Having more time off!"
Canadians have been celebrating Labour Day since the 1880s when a chain of events started by striking workers demanding a 58-hour work-week, sparked a series of protests that not only resulted in people not having to work so much, but also in a holiday being created to celebrate the achievements of those who fought for these rights we now enjoy.
