Wrath of Khanna's Q & Hopefully A: Worst. Halftime Show. Ever.

Okay, I dunno how many of you cared enough to watch the Super Bowl last night (contrats Green Bay Packers! Amazing win!), but if you did, you may have seen one of the worst mid-game musical performances in the history of the universe. The Black Eyed Peas (ugh, I can't even hyperlink them) have left me feeling gross and disgusted before but man, last night their lame, poorly mixed, off-key appearance caused Twitter's face to melt, and brought us to the nadir of internationally televised musical intermissions. And there wasn't even a wardrobe malfunction.
I imagine some of you have witnessed music performed as the side entertainment at a sports spectacle like the Grey Cup, an NHL or NBA game, or maybe even at the amateur level. But has any of it been truly memorable?

If you saw it, what'd you make of the Black Eyed Peas' halftime show last night? What is the point really of the musical act as halftime or intermission entertainment? What is the best and worst musical performance you've seen at a sports event? If you could ask an independent music-type person one question about a sports event they participated in, a show you saw them play, a record they released, their musical origins, or anything else, who and what would it be? Please tell me and I'll (hopefully) ask them for you very soon.
