So, from what I can tell, there's not a whole lot to report upon for today's National Hum show this week. I mean, there are concerts happening into Labour Day weekend but Vish is taking things pretty easy himself. It might be a good idea to rest because, as far as I can tell, we've got a busy autumn ahead of us.
Okay, I do know that Geoff Berner (pictured above) and Jenny Omnichord are playing Guelph this weekend. If I wasn't outta province, I'd be at this show. Otherwise, I'm bracing myself for the Guelph Jazz Festival, LOLA, Pop Montreal, the Halifax Pop Explosion, and a whole wack of artists on tour this fall. And I didn't too much over the weekend myself in terms of music or buskerfests or anything really, thanks to my sore leg. Stupid sore leg. I'll get you for this. Ah well, as I say, Vish is taking it easy before the fall.
Is this week serving as a break from music for you? Did you experience anything musically swell over the past week? Should I cut off my own leg? What local musical events and/or festivals are you most looking forward to over the next while?
