I'm not very familiar with the band Cage The Elephant - in fact, I don't think I've ever heard their music before.
I just read, however, that their usual drummer's appendix burst recently, so they needed to replace him for a few shows. Who got selected for the job? Well, none other than Dave Grohl.
Now, if Dave Grohl is standing in, I bet a lot of Cage The Elephant fans at the concerts are turning to their friends and saying: Hey, isn't that the guy from the Foo Fighters back there on the drums?
But how many of us take note of what the drummer looks like when it's not Dave Grohl? Would you recognize the drummer from Caribou if you saw him on the street, for instance? Could you spot the bass player from The Dears in a police line up? I'm not saying you couldn't, but let's be honest here...
DO YOU NOTICE WHEN BAND MEMBERS--OTHER THAN THE LEAD SINGER--CHANGE, ARE SUBBED OUT OR REPLACED?
