Hey everybody, it's Steve Knox here, AKA stevierayk, AKA the guy on the blog who's in Craig's band.
Usually the blog picture on The Listener Co-host Initiative uses the magic of Photoshop to put Craig and this week's listener co-host into a funny little situation. This week it's different, the only Photoshop tool I used was "crop", and it was used simply to protect the identities of the innocent.
I live in one of the greatest cities in Canada, Guelph Ontario. I have a job...OK, that's enough about that.
22 years ago Craigger and I started a little rock ensemble we call The Kramdens. Over the years we've definitely had more laughs than we've had hits, but that hasn't bother me because one thing that's certain, we're rocked the faces off of a lot of people. Maybe you, the faithful CBC R3 listener, have also been fortunate enough to rock someone's face off and know exactly what I speak of. Maybe not. Regardless, you, the person getting the facectomy at the club in front of your favourite indie band plays an equally important role in a little thing I like to call "the Circle of Life".
I don't really see where I get off asking a blog question, as I rarely answer anyone else's, but it's part if the gig so here we go.
As you can probably tell from the picture above, Craig and I were quite different from one another all those years ago. One might say, Craig was more Beatles and I, more Rolling Stones. Metric has asked it and so will I.
Are you the Beatles or the Rolling Stones?
Answers:
a) the Beatles
b) the Rolling Stones
c) I have no idea what you're talking about old man, the only thing that made sense to me in that crazy question was Metric. Sheesh.
