TCNH: The Listener Co-Host Initiative w/ Kristi "KristiArbo" and Katie "Karbog" Arbogast!

Hi-O! It's the Arbogast sisters. You may remember us from such podcasts as karbog's Sleepytime Podcast with Grant Lawrence and KristiArbo's...well, she hasn't done anything (as per usual). But we have met a number of you in various settings, whether at the Home County Folk Festival in London or out in California at various shows.

So join us today, as Craig plays referee to our sisterly banter. We'll discuss all things Canada, except we aren't Canadians. We just want to be. I mean, just look at our blog photo! We're a little obsessed! I mean, have you been to America (we all know zammachus hasn't, since he doesn't have a passport!)? Or listened to our politicians? Or watched our TV shows (Jersey Shore anyone) Mainly we love Canada because it's home to our first memories, as we grew up in Exeter, Ontario for a few years.

Here are some things we like about that northern land you live in:

Karbog:
Humo(u)rous and forthcoming people.
Delicious Canadian beer, which it'd be nice if you'd share more than just Molson, Labatt, and Moosehead with us.
The Canadian land, with its mountains, prairies, and ample amount of frigid tundra.
And, of course, hockey.

Side note: I confused all of my American friends when I rooted for Canada (over the US) in the 2010 Winter Olympics.

KristiArbo:
Canadian humor, and your willingness to make fun of yourselves.
It's like America, but better. Or as Lee Hower says, "It's the same but different."
Your slightly less insane political system.

But don't let us Americans tell you what's great about your country. You should tell us!

And that brings us to the Blog Poll of the Day: What is the best thing about Canada? What do you tell foreigners is the best part of being Canadian? (Canadian healthcare, hockey, and winter are not valid answers because we already know how great they are.)

So pull up your chair, sneak on your headphones at work, and listen to the Arbogast sisters talk about all things Canadian. Oh and Mr. Craig Norris makes a humo(u)rous appearance or two in there as well.

Note: Unfortunately due to our work schedules and time zone differences (Kristi is not getting up at 5am PST!), both Katie and Kristi won't be able to be on the blog during the morning airing. But we'll be on when the Listener Co-Host Initiative with Craig Norris is re-aired tonight at 8pm EST/5pm PST
