The melodica is basically the leprechaun of the instrument world: extremely rare, childlike in appearance and worth its weight in gold. So it's not surprising that it kind of steals the show on this track from Desormais, a collaboration between Montreal's Mitchell Akiyama and Cincinnati's Joshua Treble. "Hell'n Ohio" is a beautiful mass of textures and guitar tones that swirl around a muffled bed of junk-trunk rhythms; but it's the endearing melodica that shines through the brightest.
