Today on The Shumka Chunk: Is it time to move on?

Hi gang!  It's Dave Shumka sitting in for Grant Lawrence.

Recently, Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney said that the reason rock n' roll is dying is because "people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world.”  Nickelback responded to the jab in good humour, tweeting “Thanks to the drummer in the Black Keys calling us the Biggest Band in the World in Rolling Stone. Hehe.”  (I don't know why they had to add that gross "hehe.")  Read the story here.

Last year, people protested a half-time show at which Nickelback were scheduled to perform.  The band responded with a video on Funny or Die.

On this very show, Grant Lawrence told you some of the good things about the band.  All of this leads me to the following declaration/poll question:

THE TIME OF MOCKING NICKELBACK IS OVER.  WHO SHOULD TAKE OVER AS THE WORST BAND ON THE PLANET?

Let me know where we should be aiming our bile these days in the comments below or tweet us @CBCRadio3.
