Hey gang! It's Dave Shumka sitting in for Grant Lawrence for one more week. Don't panic.
Last night, the flurbety-flirth annual Golden Globe Awards were held at the Hollywood Sheraton or whatever. It was kind of a snooze. Nobody did anything weird or said anything crazy or wore anything ugly. Plus, nobody told me I was supposed to see any movies other than Moneyball last year, so I was a bit unfamiliar with the nominees.
It used to be that the Golden Globes were the unofficial start of awards season. That's not the case anymore. The Peoples Choice Awards were last week and the Blockbuster Memorial Return-Slot Awards were even earlier. In fact, there is no such thing as "awards season" anymore. There are entertainment awards all year long. There are too many to keep track of.
So the poll question of the day is...
WHICH AWARDS MATTER?
The Daytime Emmys? The Vezina Trophy? The Latin Junos? Maybe we can get rid of some on today's show. Oh, and have you won any awards?
