Graham Wright here, sitting in for the absent-from-the-podcast-but-not-from-our-hearts Grant Lawrence. You can normally catch me hosting weekends here at Radio 3, but for this week I'll also be the Captain of Team Podcast. Go team!

I've been a fan of rock and roll for many years. I've been to more concerts then I can remember. You might even call me a rock and roll veteran. But man, there are still times when the whole rock scene looks like a dense jungle, or a treacherous mountain pass. It seems like no matter how much you learn, there's always so much more getting thrown at you! Sometimes I wish there was a handbook that would explain to me exactly how to navigate these perilous situations.

Enter The Rock & Roll Adventurer's Guide. It's everything you need to know to wade into the swampy waters of rock fandom and emerge unscathed. On this edition of the CBC Radio 3 podcast, The Rock & Roll Adventurer's Guide will be giving you the skinny on a danger that afflicts all rock concertgoers: crowd surfing.

Love it or hate it, crowd surfing is here to stay, but that doesn't mean you have to submit to getting kicked in the head! Instead, use the four simple strategies that I outline on the podcast: revenge, if you can't beat em join em, embrace it, and avoidance.

Check out the podcast to learn more, and at the end you too will be an Official Rock & Roll Adventurer's Guide Certified Adventurer. You'll have to make the certificate yourself, but it still counts!

Of course, I've also prepared a sumptuous music feast featuring Honheehonhee, Powers, The Steve Adamyk Band, and more! So bon voyage, and Godspeed to you, you intrepid adventurer through the jungle of rock and roll!
