On this week’s podcast we’ve got another sun-drenched set from the SxSW music festival in Austin, Texas, but this time it’s a different kind of stage performance. On not much more than 8 square feet of space high above the street, Cadence Weapon and The Elwins perform on the balcony of Canada House.
First up, maybe the only band from Keswick, Ontario to attend this year’s SxSW festival is Ontario pop outfit The Elwins. The band just released their album, And I Thank You, in February and treated the Austin crowd with songs from their new album.
Next up, all the way from Edmonton Alberta, Cadence Weapon, performs new songs from his forthcoming album, Hope in Dirt City. You’ll hear Cadence Weapon sing about Austin as well as singing to beats made by electronic artist Grimes.
