One of the new social media trends invovles checking in to locations. From Foursquare to Facebook, people are letting their locations be known online beyond simple status updates and tweets.
But is this a good idea?
On Facebook’s Places page they say this feature will help you “see where your friends are and share your location in the real world” and “Browse status updates of friends checked in nearby. After checking in, tap "Here Now" to see who else is checked in where you are.”
How willing are you to be tracked online?
Do you like Foursquare or places services?
Why do you/ do not check in?
