We have a saying in the band I play in:
Don't make your problem my problem!
That refers specifically to someone spreading their "musical virus" - a catchy song you don't want stuck in your head is now...stuck in your head because THEY wouldn't stopping humming it.
It's a contageous, dangerous practice folks and it's getting serious. I have fallen prey too often, saddled for days with TV show themes or annoying jingles.
But then again, it's only as bad as the next catchy song you hear.
If it's a good song then it isn't so bad, right? The last few days I've had the excellent "Road Regrets" stuck in my head. I keep singing: "It's a shame, it's a cryyyyyyying shame" over and over. I'm happy to have the song stuck in my head, but if I were to blame someone, I'd blame Analog Bell Service for performing an unruly cover of it. In case you missed it, watch it here.
On today's show, you can help shape the playlist by telling us:
WHAT SONG HAS BEEN STUCK IN YOUR HEAD LATELY?
Post on our blog or send us a TWEET. If the song is within our grasp, we'll do our best to play it. If not, tell us about it anyway and we'll discuss your choices on the show.
And if you've got a secret for getting a song OUT of your head, share your wisdom!
