It’s Album of the Week Feature Interview Day, or as I like to call it AOFTWFI. I’m working on making that into something.
Today my chat with Patrick Watson. His new album is Adventures In Your Own Backyard or AIYOB, and it’s as beautiful and as wonderous as anything you would expect from this Polaris Music Prize winning Montreal band.
Patrick’s been doing a lot of interviews leading up to the release of the album, and I mean A LOT. He gives me the exact number in the interview. We also get to talking about the different styles of interviewing from different countries, and how not to do an interview with Portuguese radio.
Although the band spends a lot of time touring all over the world, Patrick said the inspiration for the album and its title started with the David Lynch Interview Project. This makes a pretty interesting discussion topic, too:
UPDATE:
Listen to Lisa's discussion with Patrick Watson.
HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW THE PEOPLE IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD?
So to speak of course. Neighbours should spend most of their time in their own backyards, or NSSMOFTTINTOB.
