The Gathering of Nations is considered to be the largest pow wow on Turtle Island. But it's more than just pow wow music and dancers. There are all sorts of things to be taken in from the more than 800 artists, crafters and traders in the trade market to Stage 49 for two days of free concerts from both American and Canadian musicians.
This year Aboriginal Music Week, a week-long music festival in Winnipeg that takes place every November, is presenting the RedStar Party with Aboriginal DJs including: Abel Rock, Kiss and Wreck.
The Gathering of Nations takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico from April 26-28.
