See the charismatic banjo master and Juno Award winning Old Man Luedecke live tonight at ARTery. And remember, the answer’s bacon!
Sunday June 3, Olivier Jarda, Halifax NS
Earlier this year Olivier Jarda released Good Luck Cartel (which you can check out here,) his first release since 2008’s Ghost Fees EP. Check out the new tracks performed live Sunday at Gus Pub in Halifax!
Saturday June 2, Great Lake Swimmers, and Cold Specks, Toronto ON
Talk about a great bill! Cold Specks, who’s been popping up all over CBC Music lately with posts 5 for 20 and How I Write, will be opening for the lovely Great Lake Swimmers at the Music Hall.
Saturday June 2, PS I Love You, Montreal PQ
The Kingston duo will be heading to Montreal’s Il Motore Saturday night. If you have yet to see PS I Love You perform, get ready for a great, loud show (apparently, the last time they recorded a CBC Session there were noise complaints from floors above the studio.) Whether you’re in Montreal or not, be sure to check out the full album roll out of their new record Death Dreams!
Saturday June 2, Wintersleep, Victoria, BC
Wintersleep is heading across Canada and will not only be making a stop in Victoria Saturday night, but they’ll be in Vancouver bright and early on Monday for an interview on Lanarama (because every band loves to wake up for a 10am interview, right?) Check them out Saturday at Phillips Brewery!
