Roy Forbes emerged on the West Coast folk scene in 1971, and has been an understated gentleman of music ever since. Originally, he was called Bim – a childhood nickname.

A voracious songwriter with a distinctive voice, Forbes’ material has been covered by performers such as Sylvia Tyson, Valdy, Cindy Church, Shawn Colvin and many others.

Forbes has stopped into the Saturday Night Blues studio on a few occasions, most recently Feb. 24, 2012. He is always gracious enough to treat us to a few songs. His intricate guitar style is wonderful to hear and worth careful attention for aspiring blues players.

Here is the complete coversation with Forbes and SNB host, Holger Petersen.  Forbes performs "Can't Catch Me," "Love Turns to Ice" and “Crazy ’Bout Lovin’ Me.”
