Hardly a week can go by without YouTube spewing forth a new Carly Rae Jepsen or Gotye tribute. That's just fine, because we love most of them, and apparently so do you. This week's viral creation pays homage to both pop artists in one short and sweet mash-up.
Sonoma, Calif., band Pomplamoose has released "Do Not Push," which, for its chorus, takes the chords from "Call Me Maybe" and combines them with the melody and lyrics of "Somebody That I Used to Know," and vice versa for the verses.
I'm not sure if this mash-up will put an end to all the tributes, or if Cookie Monster's cover was the pinnacle of success, so I'll leave it to you to decide.
