This fall, Victoria-based singer Adonis Puentes will release his much anticipated second album. Puentes is a go-to vocalist in the thriving Latin music scene in Los Angeles, where he spends part of his time. He's also the fraternal twin of the ever popular Alex Cuba. Puentes has been the featured singer on a couple of recent projects that have attracted Grammy and Latin Grammy Award nominations, and his live shows are always not-to-miss events.
This exclusive video from a recent show recorded at CBC Vancouver’s Toque Sessions features a brand new song called “Tumbando Mangos.” We all know about mangos, those luscious fruits that grow in warm places like the Caribbean. But how do you pick a mango? Well, that’s where the “tumbando” part comes in. You knock the mangos off the tree, of course. Sounds like fun.
