Like a creeping jungle cat, the 2010 Polaris Music Prize is practically upon us, ready leap on our backs, and shock our sensibilities with the announcment of the 5th winner to take the prize. Who will it be? None can say, (though you still have time to take our informal poll).
Starting bright and early Monday morning, CBC3 will begin its Polaris coverage. Vish Khanna will give you his predictions, Josh Holliday will take a look back at Polaris Awards past, Lisa Christiansen will serve up her Polaris Surprise (meaning she hasn't told me what she's doing because she's been hosting on Radio One), and guest host, Sloan's Jay Ferguson will check in with listeners to get their final take before passing the mic over to Craig Norris (7pm ET/ 4PT) who will will wrangle the evening for CBC3 from his specially outfitted van parked outside of Toronto's Masonic Temple, feeding you reports from Vish who will work the floor inside.
And then... at the appointed time of 8PM the awards proper will begin as our very own Grant Lawrence takes the stage with Much Music's Sarah Taylor to bring you an evening of thrills, chills, and possibly even spills as all ten nominees take the stage to perform songs from their nominated albums.
