The Black Keys’ El Camino has spawned the hits “Lonely Boy” and “Gold on the Ceiling.” Before the album was released, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, who make up the band, appear on CBC Radio 1’s Q Thursday to chat with Jian Ghomeshi.
The band talks about recording the album in Nashville, their success and the pressure to act like a rock star. “Our brothers would just make fun of us mercilessly if we walked around with our shirt unbuttoned to our navel,” says Auerbach in the conversation, which took place in December.
Check out the interview above or tune into Q on Thursday on CBC Radio 1 at 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. (10:30 in Newfoundland).
