In the interest of full disclosure, that picture of the Biebs is a still from his recent video. He wasn't actually in a donnybrook!
But Justin Bieber has had a rough go of it, lately. Law suits, tantrums, less-than-brilliant quotes...and yet, he is a role model to a huge segment of a generation.
The phenomenon is nothing new, of course. Throughout musical history, artists have long been idolized, revered and looked upon as somehow better than regular folk. Thus, they are thrust into the position of being a role model.
Is that fair? Should we look to musicians to be role models? What about sports stars or movie stars? Do you have role models?
