CHART #306

listenCheck out this week's edition of the chart as a handy dandy playlist or podcast (stream with the play button, download from the right-hand column).

Before I proceed, I want to send out my thanks to Lana Gay for sitting in for the past two weeks!

And now....

Welcome to the brand new sound of The R3-30! From now on, I'll be recording the show live - on location - from wherever I happen to be. It will be a weekly, fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants extravaganza! You could even drop by! This week, I'm in The Atrium at The CBC Broadcast Centre in Toronto. Who knows where I'll go next?

Seriously. Do you know?

Besides ambient crowd noise in the show, you'll also hear debuts from Metric, Dearly Beloved, Paper Lions and Cold Specks!

To celebrate this new, live-off-the-floor vibe, I'll be counting down the artists that you think are the best live acts out there, according to your votes on The R3-30 FunClub.

The Tragically Hip made your list...

...so did Rural Alberta Advantage!

...and CBC Music has recordings from the rest of your Top 10!

10. Sam Roberts Band
9. Mother Mother
8. The Be Good Tanyas
7. Elliott Brood
6. Arkells
5. Library Voices
4. The Tragically Hip
3. Rural Alberta Advantage
2. Hey Rosetta!
1. Patrick Watson
