JUNK IN THE TRUNK

Some pets are just jerks.

And some are more clumsy than others:

It's branded as a “unique combination of two popular breakfast flavors.” The folks at Smuckers sure did pick two of the best: bacon and maple syrup. They've combined them in a sauce that would go perfect over some pancakes. Some people are slightly concerned that neither bacon nor maple syrup are ingredients, but if it tastes good I'm sure those complaints will subside.

Born on this day, David Crosby. The famed singer songwriter has been inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. Once for his work with The Byrds, and once with Crosby, Stills and Nash.

4:15 p.m.

Allen and Violet Large won 11 Million from a lottery in 2010. They gave every bit away, to family, to the Red Cross, anywhere they could think needed it. And they aren't the only ones.

Some heroes come in unexpected packages. For example, this one pup that saved two young girls lost in a forest. The emergency crews were looking, as was a police K9 unit, plus some distressed parents. However, it was a young chihuahua that saved the day. The owner says the dog knew the girls and their scent well. It isn't every day a dog that small is a hero.

Today marks the sad passing of Roy Buchanan. 14 years ago, we lost a legend of over 15 solo albums. The man was a true pioneer of the Telecaster sound.
