People often reference the idea of a Desert Island Five – the five albums you would bring with you should you ever be stranded on a deserted island. These albums are the ones you could potentially never get sick of should you be stuck on an island (with power and the ability to play the records) for the rest of your life. A tough question, an unlikely scenario, but it can be interesting nonetheless.
CBC Music has been posting something a bit different than the Desert Island Five and something that perhaps is easier to narrow down, 5 for 20. What does it mean? Your top five records from the last twenty years. From 1992 to present, what are the albums that are your favourites? The ones that you love the most.
From Sloan’s Patrick Pentland to Plants and Animals, it’s been interesting to check out the album lists, and there are many (a big high five to Vish Khanna for coming up with the idea and posting all the great collections!) This has made me a bit curious about you and your favourite albums.
WHAT ARE YOUR 5 FOR 20?
What are your five favourite albums from the past 20 years? Why?
Any Canadian records?

By the end of the show I’ll try to narrow down my list, as far as Canadian records, Sloan’s Twice Removed and Death From Above 1979 You’re a Woman I’m a Machine would be on there.
Coming up Devon Lougheed from Beekeeper will share his 5 for 20!
