Mötley Crüe drummer and celebrated Willy-free-er Tommy Lee has sent a letter to California aquarium SeaWorld to protest the volume of its “Shamu Rocks” show. The letter, sent as part of PETA’s campaign, asks SeaWorld to remove any Crüe songs from the show and turn down the 90-decibel music, citing that it interferes with the whales’ sonar.

“Whales are not head-bangers,” writes Lee – though we can all agree it would be awesome if they were.

Lee is a longtime PETA supporter, and in 2010 he criticized SeaWorld's insemination practices.

Check out the letter on PETA’s site. As you can see from the excerpt below, Lee can expect to receive some protest letters from graphic designers for his use of Papyrus, a.k.a. “the Avatar font.”
