This morning as I rode my bike to the CBC, I started wondering: just how environmentally conscious am I?
Well, I ride my bike for one - that's good right? (though truthfully, I don't really want a car...unless it's free).
I cycle and I recycle my bottles and cans and break down those cardboard cereal cartons. I even save boxes of stuff like random power adaptors and broken electronics that I can't bear to put out with the regular trash.
I'm not sure if any of this stuff REALLY makes a difference...?
A few months back, scientist/environmentalist David Suzuki announced that his foundation was in search of an environmental anthem to celebrate their 20th anniversary. He's creating a Playlist for the Planet.
Panos Gramis Playlist for the Planet Project Coordinator explains:
Songwriters from all over the country responded to David's call out for songs and today, we unveil the LONG LIST (757 tracks to be exact!) of artists that have a chance to be part of this incredible playlist. And you, dear listener, get to VOTE for your favorite songs. You can pick one per province, and once we've rounded down the top five artists for each province, we'll ask you to vote one more time to help us select the winners who will appear on the Playlist for the Planet album with artists such as, Joel Plaskett, D.O.A., and more!
