The idea of country-soul music sounds a bit... incompatible... but when you listen to the band Pistol George Warren, it seems like those genres were made for each other. Like cookies and milk, or bread and butter, or a box of tissues and a cold.
The band's from Sudbury, and for their newest album, Mindemoya, the gang recorded it in a cabin on Manitoulin Island in Northern Ontario.
And I do mean gang -- the band has nine members! -- which must be where they get all of their energy... it comes through even in a slower song like this one.
