Ahead of the 2012 Canadian Country Music Association Awards, we asked several of the nominees to reply to an amended version of this year's questionnaire. American country star Eric Church will perform his song "Springsteen" at this year's awards.
Q: If you weren't making music for a living, what do you think you would be doing?
A: I'd probably be a high school basketball coach.
Q: Do you have any more Canadian dates coming up?
A: We are going to be announcing a tour that starts in January and runs through February. Whole country, very excited about it. Honestly, I can't wait for a first headline tour up there. I feel like I need to get to know [my Canadian fans] better.
Q: This is your first time performing on the CCMA Awards. Any thoughts?
A: Let's get it on.
• The 2012 CCMA Awards will be broadcast on CBC on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 8 p.m. ET. Before, during and after the broadcast, we invite you to check out cbcmusic.ca/CCMAAwards for complete coverage, live chat, backstage galleries and more.
