It's that time of the year again. Days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder. Before you know it, snow will be on the ground and you will be freezing your backside off. If you're not prepared.

We'd like to help. We're giving away one complete set of Radio 3 winter wearables. You'll get: a toque, a scarf, our new mittens and hoody and as a bonus, an iPhone 4 case. To win it all, you must prove to us that you actually need all this gear.

Send us a photo of you in your current, busted-up winter gear. The more patchy and threadbare the better.

There are a few ways to submit your photos:

On Twitter - tweet your pic @CBCRadio3 with the hashtag #wintergear

On Facebook - post the photo on our Facebook page

On Instagram - post your pick and tag @CBC_Music with the hashtag #wintergear

You have until midnight PT on Friday, October 19, 2012 to enter. We'll announce the winner (and a slideshow of entries) on Monday, October 22.

But if you can't wait, or if you didn't win, you can check out the entire range of Radio 3 goodies at the CBC Shop.
