Thanks to those who participated in the 3rd week of Rainbow Battle. It was our third week of putting the best renditions of "Over the Rainbow" head to head. We started off with Ian Tyson's folk guitar up against Maynard Ferguson's trumpet and sextet. Ian Tyson moved on to deal with Ray Charles in the second week. In week 3, Ian Tyson once again proved the authenticity of his performance, winning a tight battle against Keith Jarrett. In week 4 came the heaviest hitter yet: Melody Gardot. But would her voice be enough to dethrone Ian Tyson?
Click to take a listen to the rendition of "Over the Rainbow" that came out of Rainbow Battle Week 1, 2 and 3 victorious.
Congrats to Ian Tyson, who we'll hear from again next week! Let us know in the comments who he should be up against.

Suzie LeBlanc, the Canadian soprano, is crowdsourcing her next project. It's in the name of Elizabeth Bishop, a poet with a beautiful story. We'll let Suzie say some things about the project, but be sure to take a stop by her contribution page to provide any assistance to this worthy cause.
65 years ago Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier. Today, Felix Baumgartner is attempting to do it without the plane. He'll take a hot air balloon upwards for 2 hours, all the way into the stratosphere. Then... he'll jump.
If your dog has done something shameful, dumb, or destructive, there is no need to shame him yourself. Instead, the internet has provided a perfectly reasonable place to get out that frustration with your mutt.
