For a band on tour, what's the next most important thing to performing? Eating, of course! Every band that has hit the cold roads of Canada has its favourite restos, diners, coffee shops and steakhouses. Tastes of the Tour Bus features these road-tested recommendations. Today, Montreal's Patrick Watson.

Patrick Watson, Montreal's inventive musical force, released his newest album, Adventures In Your Own Backyard, earlier this year.

In spring 2012 Patrick Watson and his band performed in Toronto's Glenn Gould Studio, where they offered songs from the album to a packed house. They also stopped by Studio Q with Jian Gohmeshi.

The band has been nominated for a Juno and won the prestigeous Polaris Prize, but between the touring and the accolades, Watson likes to eat. Patrick sat down with TOTTB's own Miranda Mulholland to talk about his favourite eateries in New York, Chicago and his native Montreal.

Have a look at his great picks for restaurants across North America and visit Patrick Watson's website.
