Tracklist
Following up on 2009's I Can Wonder What You Did With Your Day, Doiron's latest work was written over the past three years in three cities that she called home: Montreal, Sackville and Toronto. So Many Days is her third solo effort in a trilogy of records produced by Rick White, Doiron's former Eric's Trip bandmate.
After touring as part of Daniel, Fred and Julie, releasing a 7" under Julie Doiron & the Wrong Guys and touring with Gord Downie's backing band the Country of Miracles, Doiron has come back with a polished collection of folk rock songs about love and sadness.
Love is the central focus on So Many Days: the comfort it brings (on "The Only" and "Last Night I Lay in Bed") the inevitable pain (on "The Gambler") or feeling like you have no love at all (on "Homeless" and "I Thought I Could Do It"). While Doiron's latest work probes the depths of loneliness and despair, the singer-songwriter balances the mood on So Many Days by celebrating the joys that good love can bring.
So Many Days is available now on Aporia Records.
