Jason Collett likes to party. With his friends, that is. When it came time for Jason Collett to release his most-recent CD, Reckon, The Great Hall in Toronto was booked for the occasion, and a great number of Jason's long-time friends and associates were enlisted: a reformed Paso Mino, (Collett's first group), Zeus (Collett's former backing band, now out on their own), Bahamas, Howie Beck, and Brendan Canning and Kevin Drew from Broken Social Scene. Even producer/songwriter and NDP MP Andrew Cash got in on the act
The event also kicked off a year long celebration of Arts and Crafts 10th year as a label. So with all those reasons, and all those people, you can imagine it was a party. Join in on the party action by checking out videos of the performance on Concerts on Demand, or tuning in to the October 25 edition of Canada Live.
For a taste of what's to come, check out his performance of "Parry Sound" and "Lake Superior."
