Just in time for Halloween, CBC Music is proud to bring you the Canadian debut of a spooky new Cold Specks (Al Spx) video, for her song "Hector." How spooky, you ask? Well, a pregnant zombie bride Cold Specks drags her decapitated groom through New Forest National Park, so I think that qualifies as spooky. Watch Cold Specks in all her zombie glory above.

"Al wanted to wear a wedding dress in the video and that went well with my idea of having her play a pregnant character," director Olivier Groulx tells CBC Music. "The song is about repression and a possessed pregnant bride fit somehow, at least to me and Al. We initially talked about the naturalistic yet weird vibe of early Cronenberg films and used that as a starting point for the video."

Groulx previously worked with singer-songwriter Spx on her videos for "Blank Maps" and "Holland," from Cold Specks' Polaris shortlisted album, I Predict A Graceful Expulsion. The London, England-based director also worked with Arcade Fire on "Black Mirror," and the eerie video for Timber Timbre's "Bad Ritual," in which Spx has a cameo.
