The Weeknd should make some room for the new kids on the R&B block. BenZel are Umi Takahashi and Yoko Watanabe, two teens originally from Osaka, now based in New York. According to their press release, they met on a message board about ankle socks and immediately bonded over their love of '90s R&B and J Dilla.
Just released on the internet, this hypnotizing song features Brit soul singer and recent Mercury Prize nominee Jessie Ware. The '90s R&B love is evident with their song choice, a cover of "If You Love Me" by Brownstone.
