Trailblazing and theatrical musician Amanda Palmer rose to prominence as one half of Boston "Brechtian punk cabaret" duo The Dresden Dolls. Since then, she's forged her own path as a solo artist, earning renown for her outspokenness and social media prowess. With her latest record, Theatre is Evil, Amanda Palmer set the record for most money ever raised ($1.2 million) for a music project on Kickstarter. She recently stopped by Studio Q, along with her Grand Theft Orchestra, to perform from the record and discuss her transition from "do-it-yourself" to "do-it-ourselves".
