This week, we announced the nominees for this year's CBC Radio 3 Bucky Awards, which honours the best talent in Canadian independent music over the past year. It's our seventh year hosting the awards, and this year we've caught the attention of CBC News's chief correspondent.
As it turns out, Peter Mansbridge works with Danielle Duval. The Toronto rocker earned a Bucky Award nomination for her song "Jour devient nuit" in the category for best reason to learn French. Duval, who serves as Mansbridge's sound tech, was kind enough to take the anchor through the voting process, and give him some background on the awards.
You can check out the interview over on Mansbridge's new blog, Inside the News. Don't forget to cast your vote in this year's Buckys.
