Happy Monday. Bob Mersereau has a new book out titled The Top 100 Canadian Singles. With any list, there will be heated debate, and this list will be no exception. He didn't just decide to write a book with his opinion. He solicited over 800 "jurists" (journalists, DJs, agents, producers, instrument makers, fans, etc) for their top ten list of Canadian singles, and tabulated the results. What do you think of the list? Any glaring oversights? Any surprises? And in the spirit of how the list was put together, what would your top ten be. Even though it's titled "singles," I'll accept any Canadian songs, from any era. What are your top ten Canadian songs of all time? I know, it's hard to pick just ten, but give it a try. As I was browsing about, I found Lana's Blog from February 23rd, 2009(!) when the book was in it's gestation period. If you're on there, any change of opinion?
