In November alone, Canada is being treated to arena and stadium concerts from the likes of such classic acts as Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen.
Adding to the mix is an entire new generation of Canadian musicians who have recently made the leap to the arena stage, including Arcade Fire, the Weeknd, Deadmau5 and Metric.
With all this stadium love in mind, I couldn't help but think of who might be up next on the big stage, so here's my hopeful list.
Top 5 arena-ready Canadian artists
1. Dan Mangan.

Who knows how high the rungs on the ambition ladder may reach for the bombastic Vancouver singer-songwriter? What Happens Next? may be Mangan at Rogers Arena.
2. Rich Aucoin.

He's already holding stadium-calibre, interactive live spectacles in the confines of clubs. Imagine what this Halifax electro-imagineer could do in a hockey arena?
3. Kathleen Edwards.

Edwards is the complete package — great songs, a grandiose sound, the perfect voice and an unflinching attitude. Oh, and she's beautiful. She'll look awesome on the HD JumboTron.
4. Hollerado.

This rock band has basically been pretending they've been playing stadiums for years, and it shows. Their performances are huge and literally explosive. Get ready for a big new album in 2013.
5. The Sheepdogs.

The Saskatoon freedom rockers already tasted arena rocking when they opened for Kings of Leon, but if the cover of Rolling Stone, an album on Atlantic Records and a rifftastic stage show won't get you to the arena stage, what will?
This brings me to my poll question of the day:
Which Canadian artist would you like to see rock an arena?
Do you like arena and stadium shows? What was the last one you attended? Are you seeing any of the classic rocker shows this month in Canada?
