Suzie Vinnick, Donna Grantis and Christine Bougie are three Toronto women who are known for their songwriting skills and musicianship. As part of Canada Live's celebration of Guitar Month, we thought it would be fun to invite the ladies into the Toronto studio to show off their guitar skills. It turned out to be fun for them as well.

In case you haven't met them, Vinnick is an outstanding player, singer and songwriter who took home the Saturday Night Blues 2012 Great Canadian Blues Award and also earned two Canadian Maple Blues Awards nominations this year — female vocalist of the year, and best acoustic act. Grantis fronts the psychedelic fusion trio Donna Grantis Electric Band, and performs regularly with Saidah Baba Talibah, Hill & the Sky Heroes and Shakura S'Aida. And Bougie, best known for her lap steel skill, is a solo artist and sought-after session musician who has performed on more than 30 albums by artists like Amy Millan, the Good Lovelies and Emma-Lee.

Not only will you see the ladies perform their own songs, but you can also catch them trading riffs as they collaborate. Check out some choice blues and jazz guitar with a ladies' touch, below.
