Guitar Month is in overdrive as we approach the end of November. Yesterday, in our Greatest Guitar Riff Ever poll, Jimi Hendrix unsurprisingly (yet barely) beat Chuck Berry in votes to advance in this week's final round.

Today we conclude round two, the semi-finals, in our battle of the greatest riff ever made, ever played. Both artists in today's showdown were immediate standouts when the top 40 contenders were originally announced earlier this month. There is no surprise that Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page are battling for riff supremacy in the semi finals. The songs themselves are signature to the timeless body of work and master guitar playing provided by these men while in their prime. Ever since The Yardbirds, both Clapton and Page continuously appear in top five Guitarists lists and polls worldwide.

Squaring off today is the catchy and playfull riff provided by Eric Clapton on the Derek & The Dominos' standout single "Layla" up against the gritty and bluesy Rock & Roll anthem "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin.

Who will advance and make it to the final round? It's entirely up to you!
