It’s that time of the month again, am I right, ladies? It’s time for our month-end roundup of the best new merchandise from bands and artists brave enough to think outside the T-shirt. And it’s happening just in time to get a jump on your holiday shopping.
1. Slayer Christmas sweater
(Slayer)
This sweater combines a bunch of unrelated elements: the terrifying thrash metal of Slayer, the coziness of a sweater, the spirit of the holidays and the ironic trend of ugly Christmas sweaters. It all combines into a tornado of awe and confusion. No wonder the sweater sold out immediately, but it may return.
2. Dinosaur Jr. dolls
(MEDIODESCOCIDO)
Argentinian art doll company MEDIODESCOCIDO designed these Dinosaur Jr. dolls that may or may not be for sale. If you’re wondering whether they depict present-day Dinosaur Jr., you bet they do, so don’t try to reenact the “Feel the Pain” video. Instead, stage awkward, stilted interviews with them.
3. Wilco bottle sock
(Frocksteady)
Finally, a piece of merch you can actually buy. Also known as a beer koozie or a coldy-holdy, a bottle sock will keep your drink cold as you nurse it. Slap “Wilco” on it and suddenly you’re not just a drinker, you’re an American aquarium drinker.
