"I've Been Everywhere," a song originally composed by Australian songwriter Geoff Mack, has been recorded and reworked by several artists in several countries across several decades. It's been everywhere, really.
One of the best loved modern versions of the song was recorded in the mid-90s by Johnny Cash. Almost 20 years later, web programmer Iain Mullan has created a web companion to the song, which illustrates the places named in the song, and tallies the total kilometres, while it plays.
Mullan's piece, which came to our attention via The Verge, was created for Music Hack Day London 2012, which took place earlier this month.
