Well, from the title of the blog entry, it seems as though we're in for a pretty worldly show. Fitting, given Canada's victories at The Commonwealth Games and our non-victory at the United Nations. But let's not dwell on such things.
Let's instead turn our attention to counting down the most popular music on CBC Radio 3 for the past week. The R3-30 features debuts from The Gertrudes, PS I Love You, Bedouin Soundclash, and The Russian Futurists (Matt Hart) answers one of your R3-30 Questions! As you can see, fully 3/4 of the debuts this week have ties to Kingston, Ontario. So, I throw down the gauntlet to Kingstonians to cough up a Kingston nickname for a famous R3-30 Town Jingle.
I also welcome Chris Burland, from chartattack.com, who will be dropping by with a listen to a chart from yesteryear! Plus, we'll find out who has de-throned Dan Mangan and achieved The Most New Fans on cbcradio3.com this past week!
After being put on hiatus for re-tooling, The FunClub Minute returns! And, if there's time, Pedro will be performing his ninety-minute, one-man homage to the rescued Chilean miners.
