I’ve been getting into the spirit of Halloween a lot lately. There’s something really special about buying sweet, sweet candy for a bunch of kids from your neighbourhood that you don’t know at all, and then eating all of that candy before they even show up at your house. By special of course, I mean fattening and cavity inducing.
Of course the really fun part of Halloween is dressing up in some kind of costume and pretending that you’re someone or something else. It’s the kind of thing that cover bands do all the time, learning other people’s music and mannerisms, hopefully for fun and not artistic fulfillment. That would be sad.
And so, in keeping with all of that, I present you with a great band from Welland, Ontario doing their take on a song written by a fantastic lyricist who goes by the moniker Baby Eagle, though you might know him best as Steven Lambke of Constantines. Please enjoy Attack in Black with a version of Baby Eagle’s “Half Moon on the City High.”
