The Sistine Chapel is one of the most beautiful spaces on earth to hear the great choral compositions of the Western World. Composers like Palestrina, Allegri, Victoria and Josquin des Prez created some of their best music for the choir of the Sistine Chapel.
In this encore presentation of Choral Concert, Peter Togni will present an entire concert of music created for the Sistine Chapel, with one of Canada’s finest choirs, the Elora Festival Singers.
Performed in the beautiful Church of our Lady in Guelph, Ont. (not the Sistine Chapel but still a very beautiful space with a deeply resonant acoustic), the sounds will wrap you in a glorious tapestry of interweaving polyphonic musical lines.
