Until in Excess, Imperceptible UFO is the band’s fourth full-length album and the followup to 2010’s Polaris-shortlisted The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night. It has eight tracks of dreamy psychedelic textures, with the band’s familiar epic droning chords sandwiched between Pet Sounds-style percussion and harmonies.
The band’s founders, husband and wife Jace Lasek and Olga Goreas, produced the album, which features contributions from Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade and Moonface, Mike Bigelow of Moonface, Sarah Page of the Barr Brothers, Monica Guente and the Fifth String Liberation Singers' Choir.
The band is also heading out on tour to play songs from the new album. They play Quebec City on April 11 and Montreal two days later. Hopefully the rest of Canada will get a chance to see them play after their spring tour of the U.S. and the U.K.
